Ashna Ali is a queer and disabled poet, essayist, editor, translator, educator, and a child of the Bangladeshi diaspora raised in Italy and based in Brooklyn, New York.
They are the author of The Relativity of Living Well (Bone Bouquet, 2024), and have work featured or forthcoming from Poem-A-Day, Women’s Studies Quarterly, Indiana Review, Sun Dog Lit, and beyond. They are the co-host of the poetry podcast, The Source, with Divya Victor, hosted by Asian American Writers Workshop (AAWW).
They hold a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from The Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY), and are an MFA Candidate in the low-residency program in Creative Writing at Randolph College, where they are a Nancy Blackburn ’71 Fellow. They also occasionally publish on their Substack, PAIN BABY.
